Very exciting and unexpected post last week with a parcel from the Awagami Factory in Japan.

I wasn’t expecting to receive anything, not even the return of my two prints, so it was a real joy to open the envelope (itself a work of art, made of Washi paper and covered in Japanese characters) to find the following:

• A certificate citing the award of an Honourable Mention in the exhibition.
• My two prints.
• An exhibition catalogue that lists all of the winners, including my own entry.
• A pack of sample Washi papers from the Awagami Factory.

Very chuffed and I just had to frame the certificate to sit alongside my winning print.

Happy days.
